Environmental Engineering
Environmental engineers use the principles of engineering, soil science, biology, and chemistry to develop solutions to problems in the environment.
Some of the duties environmental engineers do are:
- Design projects that lead to environmental protection, like water reclamation facilities or air pollution control systemshttps://www.turtlediary.com/game/grow-a-plant.html
- Provide technical support for environmental corrective projects and for legal actions
- Analyze scientific data and quality-control checks
- Check on the progress of environmental improvement programs
- Inspect industrial and municipal facilities and programs making sure all environmental regulations are being followed.
To become an environmental engineer, you need a college degree. It is important that the university programs are accredited by an organization called ABET https://www.abet.org/. Unfortunately the colleges in North Dakota do not environmental engineering programs that are accredited by ABET, however, you can search on the ABET website (https://www.abet.org/) for colleges/universities that have accredited programs.
